Beginner Horseback Riding Day Camps

Minimum age: 7 years old
Required experience: None
March Break and summer camps available!

Our beginner day camps are designed for children with little to no previous horseback riding experience. We focus on an all-inclusive approach to horsemanship as a first contact for anyone interested in horses and equestrian sport!

Our counsellors have a wide range of activities planned to promote learning, teamwork and fun! Campers can look forward to games, crafts, outdoor play, equine theory, hands on learning with our horses and ponies, and of course daily horseback riding lessons! Each week ends with a “fun show” where families are invited to come witness the skills campers have gained throughout the week.

The ratio of campers to counsellors is five to one. All counsellors receive first aid training.

Most campers are aged 7 - 13. If you have questions about if this is the right program for your child please connect with us at lessons@wesleycloverparks.com!

Getting Ready for Camp:

We want to make sure that everyone is prepared for a fun filled week, so here are a few reminders:

  • Please bring or wear appropriate riding apparel: A boot with a heel for safety purposes – no fashion boots please. Slim leg pants, like leggings – no jeans, capris, or shorts please. Properly fitted and approved equestrian helmet.

  • We are a nut aware facility. We often have campers that have serious nut allergies, so please avoid lunch foods with any sort of nut.

At Wesley Clover Parks safety is always first. We are committed to the safety of our campers, horses, and team. We will adapt camp activities in order to mitigate any safety concerns (i.e. weather, power outages, etc.). We appreciate your understanding!
