Run FAQs

REGISTRATION:

  • What is your refund policy?
    • All sales are final, promotions and discounts cannot be added retroactively. You can transfer your registration to someone else through the registration portal until April 21, 2019. There is a transfer processing fee of $5 for this service.

 

  • Will the event be cancelled in the event of inclement weather?
    • The event will run rain or shine!

 

  • If the event is cancelled will I get a refund?
    • The WCP Fun Run will take place rain or shine. In the unlikely event that the event is cancelled due to extreme weather conditions no refund will be issued. Registration fees will be converted to a donation to the Wesley Clover Foundation.

 

  • I registered twice, how do I delete my second registration?

 

  • Do children need to register?
    • Yes, all participants are required to register. Registration for children 6 and under is free.

 

  • Can I register on the day of the event?
    • Yes, on-site registration will be available.

 

 

RACE KIT PICK UP & REGISTRATION:

  • When can I pick up my race kit?
    • Race kit pick up will take place on the day of the event starting at 7:30AM. Race kits will include your bib/number, a bag tag, and timing device if you are participating in the Timed Races.

 

  • Will there be a race kit pick up prior to the event?
    • No, race kit pick-up will take place on the day of the event starting at 7:30AM.

 

  • What do I need to bring to the registration desk on the day of the event?
    • Photo ID
    • Cash, card or cheque if not you have not paid online.

 

  • Is there a place to leave my bag while I am running?
    • Yes! We will have a designated bag drop area that will be monitored by volunteers. Wesley Clover Parks is not responsible for any lost or stolen items, we ask that you do not leave valuables in the bag drop area.

 

 

DAY-OF INFORMATION:

  • Accessibility: Our 2K race will take place on a paved route, all other races will take place on rural terrain. While Wesley Clover Parks is a rural site, we do our best to make the terrain accessible to all. If you have questions about accessibility please contact [email protected].

 

  • Is there parking/cost?
    • Free parking is available on site.

 

  • Are strollers welcome?
    • Yes, strollers are welcome on the 2K run.

 

  • Can I bring my dog?
    • Yes! We ask that you please keep your dog on a leash, remember to clean up after your pet.

 

  • Will the runs be timed?
    • We are offering Timed 10K and 5K races, no other events will be timed.

 

  • Is the course marked?
    • Yes all courses will be marked.

 

  • Will there be food and beverages available for purchase on site?
    • The Walking Taco will be joining us, cash only. Check them out on Facebook here!

 

  • Are there restrooms on course?
    • Yes, restrooms will be located throughout the site, as well as the courses.

 

  • Will there be medical staff on site?
    • Yes! Site map coming soon.

 

  • What happens to the proceeds?
    • All proceeds from this event will be reinvested back into Wesley Clover Parks to help develop the site and grow our public offerings.
