Horseback Riding Instructors, Ian Millar School of Horsemanship – Full Time & Part Time 

Wesley Clover Parks is seeking horseback riding instructors to join our team! Supporting the Ian Millar School of Horsemanship, this position offers the opportunity to work alongside and knowledgeable coworkers, quality horses and wonderful clients.

Ideal candidates will have experience coaching hunter/jumper riders and are comfortable with Beginner to Advanced students. Special consideration will be given to applicants who are Equestrian Canada certified and are bilingual (English/French). Wesley Clover Parks also offers opportunities to acquire coaching certification through Equestrian Canada for those who are not certified.

Evening and/or weekend availability one to two times per week is required, with the opportunity for more hours to be discussed. The successful candidate will be mature, reliable, responsible, respectful, and will be able to work in a structured team environment. They will have a strong focus on riding basics and safety in their lessons.

Grooms, Ian Millar School of Horsemanship – Full Time & Part Time 

Wesley Clover Parks is seeking full and part-time grooms to join our team! Supporting the Ian Millar School of Horsemanship, this position offers the opportunity to work alongside and learn from knowledgeable coworkers and quality horses. Daytime, evening and weekend shifts are available.

We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, can work independently and as part of a team, and have strong customer service and problem solving skills. Successful candidates can lift up to 50lbs, have previous experience working with horses, and basic knowledge of English tack/equipment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning stalls
  • Feeding horses
  • Turning in/out horses in all weather conditions
  • Blanketing horses
  • Keeping barns clean and tidy
  • Assisting students and answering questions when needed

Jump & Stable Crew

Wesley Clover Parks requires immediate seasonal jump and stable crew team members for the 2022 Ottawa Equestrian Tournaments! We are looking for candidates that are eager to learn, can lift up to 50 lbs, and work well as part of a team. Previous horse show experience is not required.

These positions will offer up to 60 hours/week (including overtime pay) and require weekend availability throughout the summer into the end of August/early September. Work will take place primarily outdoors, meals will be provided on competition days.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Painting

  • Cleaning out stalls

  • Supply deliveries

  • Course building

  • Ring crew

  • Ring maintenance

  • General maintenance

Property Maintenance, Wesley Clover Parks & Wesley Clover Parks Campground – Seasonal Full Time 

Wesley Clover Parks is looking to fill seasonal full-time maintenance positions. The ideal candidates will be mechanically inclined, can lift up to 50 lbs, and have a driver’s license. Tractor and equipment experience are considered an asset. Must be available to work weekends and evenings on occasion.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Basic landscaping, tree and branch trimming, raking and cleanup of grass clippings as required. Will be required to use a push mower and string trimmer.
  • Collect waste from around the property. Empty and re-bag waste bins in publics areas and offices.
  • Assist with delivery of hay to paddocks.
  • Filling water troughs.
  • Manual labour and maintenance tasks.
  • Basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipments.
